Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers described Northern Eire defender Jonny Evans because the “pure successor” to the late captain Kasper Schmeichel.
Schmeichel ended his 11-year stick with the Foxes earlier this week by becoming a member of Ligue 1 Good facet and Rodgers has named Evans as his new skipper.
