DUNLAP, Illinois (WAND) – The Peoria County Sheriff’s Workplace arrested a 39-year-old man for cruelty to animals after video footage of a overwhelmed canine emerged.
In line with police, on Monday, Aug. 1, the Peoria County Sheriff’s Workplace was notified by Peoria County Animal Safety Providers of a disturbing video of a male beating a canine at a residence.
Authorities say the video confirmed a male throwing a canine in opposition to the wall after which punching the canine quite a few instances.
The case was handed over to investigators and instantly investigated.
After additional investigation, police decided that the incident passed off at a residence within the 12000 block of Woodcrest Drive in Dunlap, IL on July 5, 2022.
Nicholas M. Prince, 39, of Peoria, has been recognized because the male suspect.
Prince turned detective Wednesday round 5:30 pm on the Peoria County Sheriff’s Workplace. He was charged with animal cruelty and disqualified within the Peoria County Jail.
Police report that the canine that was the sufferer of this accident is doing nice and that Peoria County Animal Safety Providers are concerned.
